FG is FaceGen's file format for storing faces.

Custom identities can be created using Singular Inversion's FaceGen Modeller, and saved to the .fg format.
These .fg files can then be opened in FACSGen where further parameters, such as overall gamma factor and pupils color can be adjusted.

To store these additional parameters (which are not part of Singular Inversion's Facegen), the user must save the face as an .xfg file.
