Batch Video Export
Before exporting a video with FACSGen, please read the "Installing FFmpeg for FACSGen" section.

FACSGen allows the automatic generation of large sets of images/videos, by realizing all combinations of any number of faces (identities), dynamic expressions, and lighting conditions.

For instance, let's assume we have 5 dynamic expressions that we want to apply to 10 different faces.
Instead of generating each of the 5*10 = 50 videos individually, we'll use the batch video export system.

As a preparation step, we must prepare the following things:
Once this is ready, we go to:

File => Dynamic Expression => Export Video...

In the first tab ( Dynamic Expression ), we're going to select Whole Directory .
By doing so, we're telling FACSGen that we want to generate videos for multiple dynamic expressions, not just the current one.
In the Location box below, we browse for the directory we've prepared above.

The same principle applies in the Face tab; we select Whole Directory and browse for the directory prepared above.

In the present example we'll simply use the default lighting setup so we're leaving the Lighting tab unchanged, with the Current radio button selected.

Finally, in the Output tab, we're going to define the image size, frame rate, and location of the videos to be generated.
The Prefix field just provides a mean to add a prefix to the name of all generated files (for the user's own organizational purposes), and has absolutely no effect on the content of the generated images/videos. It can be left empty.

Please make sure that the Create Videos box is checked.

At this point, everything is ready to generate our videos. We can now click on Ok and be patient.

The generation time depends on a number of factors: As the video export process can be quite slow, it is recommended that you first try out your design on a small number of faces and dynamic expressions.

Typically, a subset of your design (approximately 3-5 faces and 3-5 dynamic expressions) allows you to ensure that everything is fine.

Also, using a low frame rate (say, 5) and small images dimensions will speed up the process and allow for fast preliminary tests.

Only when you're ready and have a precise idea of what you'll get as an output, launch the export process for you complete design.

Be aware that generating long videos on hundreds of faces can quickly span on several days.
