FACSGen uses FFmpeg to create video files. Before creating your first video, you need to install FFmpeg for Windows.

FFmpeg for Windows can be downloaded here:

Please follow the procedure below:

• Click on the "Download FFmpeg" button
• Save the .zip file on one of your hard drives
• Unzip it
• In the "bin" subdirectory, you'll find a file called ffmpeg.exe
• In FACSGen, go to Edit => Preferences
• In the FFmpeg Executable field, browse for the location of ffmpeg.exe . Please note that you can also simply drag and drop the file from the Windows explorer
• Click the Ok button

You're now ready to export video files.

Please note that due to a FFmpeg limitation, video files can't be exported to paths containing special characters, such as accents.

So, if you wish to export a video file in the directory C:\Café\Images , please rename this directory to C:\Cafe\Images first.
